Palatine High students erecting building for ATP program

Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211 students in the Building Construction program at Palatine High School will build a new building for the Adult Transition Program-North students.

Both groups of students participated in the groundbreaking ceremony earlier this month.

The ATP program serves students ages 18-21 with cognitive disabilities and other significant needs, providing instruction and community-based experiences aiding in their transition from high school.

The new building will afford a much-needed larger space, as well as being safer and more accessible.
