Jingle Bell party rocks Avenues to Independence Work Center in Wheeling

The Avenues to Independence Work Center in Wheeling celebrated the holidays with a festive party, complete with non-stop music, games, dancing, entertainment, lunch, presents, and a special visit from Santa Claus.

Special thanks to Dale Kendrick and Barnaby's Pizza in Des Plaines for once again donating 67 delicious pizzas; D.J. Ronski for providing holiday dance music; and Avenues' Board Members Matt and Ed Coyne for providing Santa's "sleigh." Santa gave each worker a gift of gloves and winter scarf, thanks to the members of Avenues Suburban Partnership Board.

Avenues' Work Center offers job training and employment opportunities, including packaging and light assembly work, for 140 adults with developmental disabilities. For more information, visit avenuestoindependence.org.
