Indian Trails Library to open at temporary location in April

In preparation for $14.4 million in expansion and renovation, the Wheeling-based Indian Trails Library will close from March 16 to April 4 while staff moves about 40 percent of the library's materials to a temporary site in Buffalo Grove.

The 13,000 square-foot temporary site at 70 West Dundee Road will be fully staffed and feature all of the library's current services.

During the library's two-week closure, all online resources will be available, and the district's Prospect Heights branch will offer extended hours.

Library staff expects the construction to take eight months to one year.
