Rotary Santa Run returns to Arlington Heights

Downtown Arlington Heights was a jolly place Saturday morning as a couple of thousand "Santas" participated in the 5k Santa Run to benefit the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights' Charitable Foundation.

Runners of all ages and abilities were part of the event, which included a 1-mile walk for those who preferred a Santa stroll, and which was preceded by a four-block Reindeer Run for kids 10 and under.

It was the eighth year for the event, which regularly attracts more than 2,000 participants.
