Patriots-Broncos matchup missing a few stars
The Patriots-Broncos showdown Sunday night is missing some star power.
Peyton Manning is out for the second straight week because of a foot injury and pass-rusher DeMarcus Ware is missing his third consecutive game for Denver because of a lower back injury.
Tom Brady is missing injured wide receivers Julian Edelman (foot) and Danny Amendola (knee). Both are inactive along with wide receiver Aaron Dobson, who was placed on injured reserve because of an ankle injury.
Broncos left guard Evan Mathis is active. An ankle injury forced him to miss practice Wednesday and Thursday.
