WHAT'S AT STAKE

It is the 119th Civil War rivalry game between the two teams. . The Ducks didn't earn a spot in the Pac-12 championship so this will be their final game before they learn their bowl fate. Oregon can still reach 10 wins but the year has been marked by losses to Michigan State, Utah and Washington State. The Beavers have lost eight straight.

KEY MATCHUP

Oregon RB Royce Freeman could have a big day against Oregon State, which ranks last in the league, and 114th in the nation, in rushing defense. The Beavers allow opponents an average of 218 yards rushing a game. Freeman ranks third in nation with 1,539 yards this season. He's averaging 6.7 yards per carry. Last weekend against USC, Freeman rushed for 147 yards.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Oregon State: Seth Collins. The true freshman was the team's starting quarterback at the start of the season, but he's missed the last four games after tweaking a knee in practice. Beavers coach Gary Andersen said last week he was done for the season, but Collins practiced this week at receiver.

Oregon: QB Vernon Adams Jr. The reigning Pac-12 player of the week threw for 417 yards and tied the school record with six touchdowns in Oregon's 48-28 victory over USC last weekend. The Ducks have won all five of their games since Adams returned from a broken index finger that hampered him at the start of the season.
