Libertyville realty group makes sure 108 families enjoy Thanksgiving

The agents and staff of the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group's Libertyville Office collected donations, shopped and compiled all of the contents necessary to complete 108 Thanksgiving meals for less-fortunate Lake County families on Nov. 24 at Jewel-Osco in Libertyville.

With more than 20 years of experience behind them, the group knows how to get this job done efficiently and they garner attention as they set up their assembly line outside the store to fill boxes with turkeys, stuffing, gravy, potatoes, candied yams, green beans, rolls, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie.

Once the boxes are packed, they load their cars and immediately deliver them to the township for distribution.

"This event is near and dear to the hearts of our Libertyville agents," said Nancy Nagy, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group. "Their generous support, and that of the community, means that 108 meals will be prepared and enjoyed by individuals who are in need this Thanksgiving. They are a wonderful example of what a group can accomplish. We are so proud of them."

"Feeding the hungry during Thanksgiving in the Lake County area has become a tradition in our Libertyville office. It's an opportunity to give back to the community in a truly meaningful way, and they do it so beautifully," said Jim Votanek, vice president and managing broker of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group.

"To see the group in action, passing items down the line to fill boxes with food that will provide nourishment and a little TLC, is really inspiring."
