COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Breanna Stewart scored 24 points and Moriah Jefferson added 21 to lead top-ranked UConn to a 100-56 win over No. 7 Ohio State on Monday night.

Kia Nurse added 16 points, Morgan Tuck 15 and Gabby Williams had 10 points and 11 rebounds for UConn.

Ohio State (0-2), coming off an 88-80 loss at No. 2 South Carolina on Friday, trailed by three with just over two minutes left in the first quarter before the Huskies took over.

At one point of the second period the Huskies hit eight straight field goals and 10 of 11.

Shayla Cooper led Ohio State with 17 points. UConn hit 37 of 65 from the field.

FLORIDA 82, No. 6 FLORIDA STATE 72

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Ronnie Williams scored 21 points, Simone Westbrook added 14 and Florida upset Florida State.

The Gators (1-1) overcame a 15-point deficit to beat the Seminoles (0-1) for just the fourth time in the last 13 tries.

This one ruined FSU's opener, the beginning of a season filled with high expectations. Adding to the Seminoles' woes: dynamic guard Leticia Romero injured her left ankle with a 1:11 remaining and had to be helped to the locker room.

Eleanna Christinaki chipped in 13 points for Florida, which used seven 3-pointers to help offset 27 turnovers and a minus-seven rebounding differential.

Williams was 9 of 16 shooting and finished with 10 rebounds, two blocks and two steals. She scored 15 points in the second half, helping Florida rally from a double-digit deficit.

Adut Bulgak led the Seminoles with 20 points and 14 boards.

Romero had 16 points.

WACO, Texas (AP) - Alexis Prince scored 16 points and Niya Johnson added 15 to lead six players in double figures for Baylor in a victory over Southern Mississippi in the preseason WNIT.

Nina Davis and Alexis Jones each had 10 points for Lady Bears (2-0), who missed their first seven shots and were down by five points late in the first quarter before taking over on way to their 154th consecutive home win over a non-ranked opponent.

Jerontay Clemons, the lone senior for Southern Miss (1-1), had 18 points and five rebounds in 29 minutes before fouling out of the game.

The Lady Bears led for good after Johnson's layup for the first basket of the second quarter, starting a 22-7 outburst that put them up by 14 at the half.

Kristy Wallace had 11 points off the bench for the Lady Bears, and 6-foot-7 freshman Kalani Brown had 10 points and seven rebounds.

No. 9 OREGON STATE 94, PORTLAND 50

Gabriella Hanson added 14 points for the Beavers (2-0).

Freshman Ellie Woerner led Portland with eight points on 2-of-7 shooting in the loss.

Oregon State, which was coming off a 110-45 season-opening victory over Longwood on Friday night, won a school record 27 games last season and claimed the program's first Pac-12 regular-season championship. The Beavers' postseason was stopped at home by a loss to Gonzaga in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Beavers, who lost only one starter from last year's team, were picked to again finish first in the conference in the league's annual media poll.

NORTH TEXAS 61, No. 17 OKLAHOMA 57

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Terra Ellison scored 15 points, and Kelsey Criner had 10 points, seven rebounds and seven assists to help North Texas upset Oklahoma.
