WHAT'S AT STAKE

Coming off its first loss and with its playoff hopes severely damaged, TCU needs to bounce back with the expected victory to remain in contention for a share of the Big 12 title and another appearance in one of the New Year's six games. Kansas has three more chances to avoid being the first Power Five conference team since Washington in 2008 to go winless.

All the youngsters on both sides. Kansas is rebuilding this season with first-year coach David Beaty, using 39 first-time players this season - the only FBS team with more than TCU's 37. The Jayhawks have used 33 first-time starters, matching Central Florida for the most. TCU, still contending for another Big 12 title, is next with 24.
