Agassi, Roddick to play in Charleston

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - American Grand Slam champions Andre Agassi and Andy Roddick will be on hand at the Volvo Cars Open next spring.

The two, along with James Blake and Mardy Fish, are part of the PowerShares Series tour that will stop in Charleston and play at the Volvo Cars Stadium on April 9 after the WTA tournament's semifinals.

Agassi is one of the most popular U.S. champions, winning eight Grand Slam titles and reaching No. 1 in the world. Roddick was also No. 1 and has captured the U.S. Open title.

Volvo Cars Open tournament director Bob Moran said having those players compete expands the event's reach with fans.
