Theodore Roosevelt brought to life in Wauconda

Actor Derek Evans brought Theodore Roosevelt to life Sunday afternoon at the Wauconda Public Library.

Patrons enjoyed the hourlong performance that provided a glimpse into the powerful, opinionated, intensely loyal Roosevelt, who became the 26th and youngest president in the nation's history from 1901-1909.

Evans has given performances in the White House Visitor Center, as well as at grade schools, museums, theaters and libraries across the country.
