Chicago Cubs claim RHP Cook from Boston Red Sox
The Chicago Cubs added right-handed pitcher Ryan Cook to their 40-man roster on Friday after claiming him off waivers from the Boston Red Sox.
Cook, 28, has played parts of five season for three teams: Arizona (2011), Oakland (2012-15) and Boston (2015). The 6-foot-2, 217-pound pitcher spent most of last season in Triple-A, but he did make 9 relief appearances for Oakland and Boston combined in the majors.
