Holiday Housewalk benefits Wheaton show choir

Building on its successful debut last year, the Wheaton Holiday Housewalk will showcase four decorated homes to benefit the Flight show choir at Wheaton North High School.

The homes in north Wheaton will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14. Tickets, $25 in advance or $30 at the door, are available at wheatonholidayhousewalk.com.

Participants will enjoy a mix of architectural styles, including an 1886 Victorian and a recently built Federal-style house. All four homes will be decorated for the holidays; three are within two blocks of each other, allowing attendees to park once for three destinations.

Homes will be decorated by Wheaton and Glen Ellyn businesses, and guided tours will be given of the homes. Participants also will be serenaded throughout the day by Wheaton North's award-winning show choir, Flight.

Tickets can be purchased at Wheaton businesses including PS Flowers, Carlson's Paint, Glass and Art, SereneTeaz, Egg Harbor, Ivy, and Café K'tizo. They can be purchased in Glen Ellyn at Marcel's. Wheaton North Flight members also will sell tickets for the event.

All proceeds will benefit Flight. Flight is an auditioned show choir composed of 50 singer/dancers and a live 10-piece show band. The show choir competes throughout the Midwest and frequently earns high honors in competition for best soloists, best choreography, best vocal sound and Grand Champion.
