Images: Bears lose to the Vikings 23-20 in final seconds
The Chicago Bears led late in the fourth quarter but collapsed down the stretch in a 23-20 loss to the Minnesota Vikings at Soldier Field on a sunny afternoon.
Vikings kicker Blair Walsh's hit a 36-yard field goal as time expired for the win as the Bears lost for the 5th time this season.
Early in the third quarter, the Bears lost two starters, running back Matt Forte and wide receiver Eddie Royal, who came off the field with injuries.
The fourth quarter was close as quarterback Jay Cutler drove the Bears 74 yards for a TD and a 20-13 lead with 4:55 left in the game. Cutler scored the touchdown himself on a 4-yard run.
But the Vikings came back with a game-tying 40-yard TD pass from quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to Stefon Diggs with 1:49 left in the game.
