Man critically injured in crash near Antioch

A 32-year-old man was critically injured early Saturday morning when the all-terrain vehicle he was driving rolled over near Antioch.

Lake County sheriff's police said the crash happened about 2:15 a.m. along West Grass Lake Road in the area of Lake Shore Drive.

There were two ATVs traveling eastbound on West Grass Lake when the 32-year-old man lost control of the ATV he was driving, police said. The ATV rolled, and the man was ejected.

Authorities said the injured man was taken to Condell Hospital in critical condition.

The crash is being investigated by members of the Lake County Sheriff's Technical Crash Investigations Unit. They will determine if drugs, alcohol, or roadway conditions played a factor in the crash.
