Scaredy cats welcome at Schaumburg Park District's free trick-or-treat event

Schaumburg Park District's Spring Valley Nature Center is hosting a free trick-or-treating event on Halloween night. Free Halloween tricks and tasty treats will be available from 3-6 p.m., Oct. 31 at the Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road.

"Everyone deserves a fun and safe place to trick-or-treat and they can do that at Spring Valley and Heritage Farm," said Mary Rice, education coordinator at Spring Valley. "Trick-or-treaters will go from building to building knocking on doors and collecting sweets."

Visitors are encouraged to get into the Halloween spirit and wear their costumes.

This event is free and no pre-registration is required. Shuttle wagon rides will be provided to go between the Nature Center and Heritage Farm.
