Fans injured on escalator after Redskins-Falcons game

ATLANTA (AP) - Georgia Dome officials are investigating what caused an escalator to malfunction, causing injuries to approximately 30 fans following the Atlanta Falcons' win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday.

According to a statement released by the Georgia Dome on Tuesday, the escalator at Upper Gate D inside the facility stopped as fans were leaving the game.

The release states that about 30 fans were treated for minor injuries. An Associated Press photographer saw a woman being taken to an ambulance.
