WHAT'S AT STAKE

Clemson is looking not to have a letdown after its dramatic, 24-22 victory over No. 15 Notre Dame last week. The Tigers are also looking to stay perfect early on in the ACC race. Georgia Tech hopes to avoid its first four game losing streak since 1996.

KEY MATCHUP

Georgia Tech option offense vs. Clemson defense: The Tigers have struggled against the Yellow Jackets attack. Just last year a Clemson defense that would finish No. 1 in fewest yards allowed nationally was riddled by Georgia Tech for 353 yards, 251 on the ground, in a 28-6 defeat. Clemson is giving up just 117 yards on the ground a game this season while Tech is gaining 311 yards rushing per game this fall.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Georgia Tech: QB Justin Thomas was considered the strongest competition to Clemson passer Deshaun Watson in the race for ACC player of the year this season. Thomas has accounted for 12 touchdowns this year, seven of them passing.

Clemson: DE Shaq Lawson has become a force on the Tigers defense. He had 3.5 tackles for loss in the Notre Dame win, while matched most of the game against Irish All-American candidate Ronnie Stanley.
