CLC offers free mental health screenings Oct. 8

The College of Lake County will conduct free, confidential mental health screenings for depression problems as part of National Depression Screening Day on Thursday, Oct. 8.

Screenings will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. in Room C002 on CLC's Grayslake Campus and are open to students and members of the community. Appointments are not necessary. Because of construction, attendees should enter the B Wing proceed toward the lower level C Wing.

The free and confidential screenings consist of a questionnaire and visit with a counselor to determine whether participants may be suffering from depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety or post-traumatic stress disorder. The screening program is designed to raise awareness about depression and to offer help for those struggling with the problem.

For more information, call the CLC Nursing Education department at (847) 543-2043.

The college is at 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake.
