After Hensley's second goal gave Grayslake North (4-10, 3-1) the lead, Sean Dameron scored off an assist from Jason Rhodes for an insurance tally.

"Against a very tough Grayslake Central team, our boys put in the effort of the season as of today," Knights coach Adam DeCaluwe said. "They played with pride, purpose and a commitment to each other that allowed us to have success from the start to the finish."

Trevor Veenstra's goal on a free kick had Grayslake Central up at halftime. Hensley scored the equalizer when he headed in a ball into the box off the foot of Cole Karabinus.

"We knew that we would find our way back into the game if we just kept at it, as our approach was leading to chances that we knew we could finish," DeCaluwe said. "After we tied them up, it was clear that our kids were starting to believe in themselves and the way they were playing."

Knights junior Grant Nickolson put pressure on the Rams' back four, caused a turnover and when he got in their box, looking to shoot, he was taken down and earned a penalty kick that Hensley slotted home into the bottom corner of the net. With about three minutes left, Dameron scored.
