Police arrest man in fatal shooting at Greenwood restaurant

GREENWOOD, Ind. (AP) - Police say they've arrested a man in connection with the fatal shooting of a suburban Indianapolis restaurant cook as he arrived for work.

Greenwood police say the 37-year-old Indianapolis man was jailed on a preliminary murder charge after he was arrested Thursday morning at a Columbus home.

Thirty-four-year-old Miguel Angel Hernandez of Indianapolis was killed in shooting outside the Four Seasons Restaurant about 6 a.m. Wednesday. The restaurant is in a shopping plaza in a busy commercial area along Indiana 135 just south of Indianapolis.

Greenwood Assistant Police Chief Matthew Fillenwarth says investigators believe Hernandez was having an affair with the gunman's wife, which led to the violent confrontation.

The restaurant was open at the time of the shooting, but no other injuries were reported.
