Critzer, Grayslake North handle Woodstock

Jack Critzer scored twice and had an assist, Kyle Hensley notched 4 assists, and Grayslake North's boys soccer team defeated Woodstock 5-2 in Fox Valley Conference Fox Division action Tuesday night.

Grayslake North (3-10) scored three goals in the second half after the two teams headed into intermission tied 2-2. Juniors Brandon LeBaron, Carlos Alfaro and Grant Nickolson were the goal scorers after halftime.

"In the second half, we did a much better job through open play," Knights coach Adam DeCaluwe said, "as we were able to create some better scoring chances and played a majority of the half in our attacking third."

Grayslake North hosts Grayslake Central at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Grayslake Central 5, Woodstock North 0: Paul Kulis notched a pair of goals and added an assist for the Rams in the Fox Valley Fox game.

Grayslake Central (8-5-2, 2-0-0) also received goals from Trevor Veenstra, Jake Miller and Matt Kozak. Conner Gosell (1 save) picked up the shutout.

Mundelein 3, Lake Forest 1: Bryan Alba scored twice and added an assist for the Mustangs in the North Suburban Lake game.

Victor Casas had the Mustangs' other goal. Yann Nsoga and Edson Suaste also had assists for Mundelein (8-5-2, 2-2-1). Mustangs keeper Donnie Kvien made 4 saves.

Libertyville 1, Lake Zurich 0: Luke Sanderson scored the North Suburban Lake game's only goal in the first half. Kevin Reilly had the assist.

Brant Kym made 8 saves in earning the shutout, as the Wildcats improved to 9-3 and 4-1 in the NSC Lake.

Round Lake 10, North Chicago 0 The Panthers (12-2, 5-0) clinched the North Suburban Prairie championship.

Lakes 3, Antioch 3: Zach Espinosa scored twice, including once on a penalty kick, for visiting Lakes in the North Suburban Prairie match.

Nick Dydo also had a goal for Lakes (4-8-2, 2-0-2), which trailed 3-0 at halftime.

Antioch (10-6-1, 2-2-1) got goals from RJ Vasquez, Bart Krumpos and Danny Brito, who tallied his 10th of the season. Krumpos also had an assist, while Mickey West assisted on a pair of goals.

Wauconda 5, Grant 2: Theodor Kolarov and Taiga Miyaryo each scored twice for visiting Wauconda in the North Suburban Prairie game.

Edwin Sarmiento also had a goal for Wauconda (3-6-2, 1-2-1). Raffa Consalvo, Sean Sullivan and Osvaldo Segura had assists.

Grant's goal scorers were Rudy Frescas and Zach Cooper. Sam Lee assisted on both tallies for Grant (1-13-1, 0-4-1).
