Harvard cruises past Brown, 53-27

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) - Scott Hosch completed 12 of 19 passes for 151 yards and three touchdowns to help lead Harvard past Brown 53-27 in the Ivy League opener for both teams on Saturday.

Ben Braunecker, Jack Stansell, and Seitu Smith II hauled in touchdown receptions for the Crimson (2-0, 1-0 Ivy League). Paul Stanton Jr. finished with 89 yards rushing with one touchdown run. Noah Reimers added 60 yards on the ground with two scores.

Brown lost three fumbles and threw one interception. Sean Ahern forced a fumble and Jacob Lindsey returned for a touchdown to give Harvard an early 14-0 lead.

The Crimson scored on three of its final four first-half drives and led 37-0 at halftime. Harvard stretched its lead to 56-6 late in the third quarter.

Kyle Moreno led Brown (0-2, 0-1 Ivy League) with 307 yards passing and two TD's.

The win extends Harvard's win streak to 16 games.
