Vernon Hills to celebrate Oktoberfest
Vernon Hills is hosting the 11th annual Oktoberfest from 3 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Metra station, 75 Route 45. Free face painting, kids crafts, hay rides, inflatables, a petting zoo and trees (while they last) will be offered. The event also features Hunter the Magician, food, music and a raffle with proceeds going to nonprofit food vendors. Visit the events calendar at vernonhills.org.
