High School District 214 will offer an exciting lecture and discussion program this fall designed to help parents navigate and respond appropriately to their children's growth and development.

The lecture series, "What Every Parent Needs To Know," will delve into topics such as anticipating and preventing problems proactively, developing mutually respectful relationships, exploring fair discipline, maintaining effective communication and productive problem solving methods with children.

Bob Leece, the student assistance coordinator at Buffalo Grove High School, will lead the series and has trained thousands of parents over the past 20 years. Parent evaluations have regularly indicated this program has been highly effective in equipping guardians to productively deal with children of all ages.

The program meets at Rolling Meadows High School, 2901 Central Road in Rolling Meadows, on Oct. 6, 14, 20, 27 and Nov. 3.

Seating is limited, so prospective parents are encouraged to reserve a spot by emailing Paula Volpe at paula.volpe@d214.org. The cost of these sessions is $20 per person.
