Images: Chicago Bears battle the Green Bay Packers during season opener
The Chicago Bears played a competitive game against the Green Bay Packers Sunday afternoon at Soldier Field in Chicago.
The Packers eventually prevailed in the game 31-23 after Bears quarterback Jay Cutler threw an interception to Packers linebacker Clay Matthews in the fourth quarter to end any hope of coming back.
Bears running back Matt Forte was a huge force for the offense with a total of 166 yards, 141 rushing for 141 yards and receiving 25 yards.
By trying to manage the game, Bears quarterback Jay Cutler threw 18/36 for 225 yards with one touchdown and a costly interception.
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers played his typically efficient game throwing 18/23 for 189 yards with 3 touchdowns.
