NCH offers free programs for seniors in September

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (August 31, 2015) - Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) is hosting several free programs for adults over age 55 in September at the Arlington Heights Senior Center, 1801 W. Central Road, Arlington Heights. To register for the following programs at the Senior Center, call 847-253-5532. You do not need to be an Arlington Heights resident to attend.

• Thursday, September 3 - Learn how over the counter and prescription medications interact - 11 a.m. to noon

• Wednesday, September 9 - Healthy cooking demo: Everything squash - 9 to 10 a.m.

• Wednesday, September 9 - Diabetes educational seminar - 5 to 6:30 p.m.

• Thursday, September 10 - Anxiety education and support group - 10 to 11 a.m.

• Thursday, September 10 - Adult immunizations - 11 a.m. to noon

• Friday, September 11 - Diabetes: Developing a measurable goal - 9 to 10 a.m.

• Thursday, September 17 - Can you prevent a stroke? - 11 a.m. to noon

• Thursday, September 17 - Stroke support group - 2 to 3:30 p.m.

• Thursday, September 24 - Get moving lecture - 11 a.m. to noon
