Warm up a fall evening at Volkening Heritage Farm's Harvest Bonfire

Light up the night and enjoy fire roasted snacks with the Schaumburg Park District's Volkening Heritage Farm.

Set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Sept. 19 at the Heritage Farm, 201 S. Plum Grove Road, the event is a great opportunity to welcome autumn.

Featuring exciting fall-related activities, participants will enjoy a wagon ride through Spring Valley, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over an open fire and taking a lantern-lit tour of the farm.

"The Harvest Bonfire is a great way to kick-off the fall season with fun fall-related festivities," said Patty Kennedy, Heritage Farm program coordinator. "This event is a simple and fun way to enjoy a night out."

Cost is $7 per person. Children ages 3 and younger are free. Parking is located at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 1001 E. Schaumburg Road.
