Fox Valley Irish Fest returns Sept. 5 to RiverEdge Park

The second annual Fox Valley Irish Fest will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at RiverEdge Park, 360 N. Broadway in Aurora. Tickets are $10 for age 15 and older; $5 for age 14 and younger. Children, 2 and under, are admitted free. Parking for this event is $2 at the Aurora Transportation Center/Metra lot. Celebrate the food, drink, music and spirit of the Emerald Isle at the Park. There's something for the whole family at Irish Fest. There's a children's play area filled with crafts and games, Irish beer, and vendors offering authentic Irish food, gifts and more. Brendan Loughrey, born in County Donegal, Ireland, will perform at 5 p.m. The Ploughboys will play your favorite hits from the Beatles, BoDeans, Paul Simon and more, all with a cool Celtic twist, at 7:30 p.m. The Blaggards, with their "Stout Irish Rock" style, influenced by everyone from Dropkick Murphys to Johnny Cash, Elvis to Black Sabbath and beyond, will perform at 8:30 p.m. Visit riveredgeaurora.com.
