30 new shops open today at Aurora outlet mall

Thirty new or expanded stores at Chicago Premium Outlets in Aurora will open to shoppers Thursday morning.

The $110 million addition to the shopping center at I-88 and Farnsworth Road includes the new and expanded stores, 2,200 new parking spaces, fireplaces, art installations, outdoor seating areas and a pond.

New stores include Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, Clarins luxury skin care, Robert Graham clothing, Abercrombie & Fitch Outlet, The Limited Outlet, Old Navy Outlet, Tommy Hilfiger Kids, Vince apparel and UGG Australia.

Stores gaining larger spaces in the 250,000-square-foot expansion include Michael Kors, Nike Factory Store, Vera Bradley and Under Armour.

Shoppers can get into the new area at the east side of the outlet mall beginning from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday. Hours for the rest of the weekend are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The addition increases the size of the decade-old outlet mall by more than half and doubles the available parking.
