N. Aurora police seek help finding man who knocked down woman

North Aurora police want the public's help in finding a man who knocked down a woman Sunday near State and Roberts streets on the village's near west side.

The victim, 74, was walking about 10 a.m. when a man knocked her to the ground, police said in a news release.

The woman screamed, and the suspect ran north, police said. The woman was not injured.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned male, 18 to 20 years old, heavyset with a round face with short black hair and wearing a red T-shirt with dark shorts.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information should call the investigations division at (630) 897-8705, ext. 610. Anonymous tips may be left by calling (630) 897-8705 and choosing option 3, or call Aurora Area Crime Stoppers at (630) 892-1000 and you may be eligible for a reward for information leading to a felony arrest.
