Missing Wisconsin Navy veteran found in Texas
A missing 50-year-old Navy veteran from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has been located in Texas, the Lake County sheriff's office said Saturday.
The office said Friday night that it was searching for Brian Keith Lax, who was last seen leaving Great Lakes naval base in North Chicago at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday in a purple 2010 Toyota Scion with Wisconsin license plat 964-XDN. He was supposed to appear at work in Milwaukee at 3 p.m.
But the office said it later received confirmation that Lax had checked himself into a Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Texas late at night on Aug. 21.
Police consider Lax endangered. If he is seen, police should be called immediately, the sheriff's office said.
