Work continues on Mundelein High expansion

Mundelein High School students and teachers who headed back to classes this month aren't the only ones working hard on the 38-acre campus at Hawley Street and Midlothian Road.

Construction crews continue to plug away on the $23,7 million expansion project that broke ground in April. The addition will include 25 classrooms, along with science labs, an area for experiments, offices and other amenities, all for science, technology, engineering and match (STEM) education.

The work is scheduled to be complete in time of the 2016-17 school year.
