Climate change forum in Highland Park

A free forum entitled "Climate Change, the Great Lakes, Your Neighborhood, and Your Health" is set for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, at Highland Park Public Library, 494 Laurel Ave., Highland Park. Experts will share opportunities and tools for action to address the local impacts of climate change. Speakers will discuss the impacts of climate change on local natural resources, the Great Lakes, and on family and community health. Also, speakers will learn how local governments and residents can start to address climate change impacts on their communities. Co-sponsors are The Alliance for the Great Lakes, Go Green Highland Park, League of Women Voters of Highland Park/Highwood, League of Women Voters Lake Michigan Region and Moms Clean Air Force.
