Aurora motorcyclist killed in crash with semi

A 22-year-old Aurora man was killed Tuesday night after his motorcycle collided with a semi near the intersection of Randall Road and Sequoia Drive.

Both the semi and the motorcycle were heading east on Sequoia Drive and crashed around 6:30 p.m., Aurora Fire Department Batallion Chief Steve Weatherly said.

Initial investigation shows the motorcyclist, most likely traveling at a high rate of speed, tried to pass the semi while the truck driver was turning left into a warehouse, Weatherly said.

Aurora police are investigating and have not released the Aurora man's name.
