Car fire slows traffic on I-90 at Arlington Hts. Road

A car fire before noon Saturday on outbound I-90 near the Arlington Heights Road interchange drew several pieces of emergency equipment to the scene and slowed traffic in the area for about 30 minutes.

Flames were shooting from the car for a time, but by about 12:15 p.m., the fire had been extinguished. Emergency equipment and state police remained on the scene for a time. By 1 p.m., the vehicle had been removed and traffic had returned to normal.
