The Festival Chorus, currently "Celebrating 50 years of making music," is looking for adult vocalists who enjoy the challenge of performing fine music. This is a non-profit community chorus. Entry auditions are solely for the purpose of vocal section placement. There is a registration fee and a charge for music. The chorus is under the direction of Ann Espel.

Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 7:30 to 10pm in Building P, Room P202 of the Music Instruction Center at Harper College. From mid-August through early December the chorus will prepare for the winter concert with a professional orchestra on Sunday, December 6, at the Harper College Performing Arts Center. The chorus will also be performing for residents at The Lutheran Home on December 7, and on Sunday, December 13 at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Arlington Heights.

Of special note this fall will be the Festival Chorus's performance of an original piece of music composed for the 50th anniversary of the chorus by Seth Houston. Mr. Houston will be conducting that piece himself on December 6.

For additional information about the chorus visit festivalchorus.org or e-mail Marcy Heston at president@festival chorus.org.
