Libertyville Dist. 70 hires new administrator
Libertyville Elementary District 70 has a new director of special services overseeing the gifted program and special education. Christian J. Otto joined the district July 1, replacing Marilyn Menuey, who retired after 16 years. Otto most recently was director of student services at Lake Zurich Unit District 95 and before that was a psychologist at Barrington Unit District 220. Before getting into public education, he was clinical director at Lutherbrook Child and Adolescent Center in Addison and a clinician at the former Forest Academy Therapeutic Day School in Des Plaines. He also teaches traditional Chinese martial arts. Otto is married with two children and lives in Park Ridge.
