Special Recreation Association to host benefit car wash

Special Recreation Association of Central Lake County hosts its 7th annual Car Wash Fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. SRACLC staff and volunteers will be at Ernie's Shell Convenience Store & Car Wash, 909 S. Milwaukee Ave. in Vernon Hills. SRACLC provides recreational programs and activities for individuals with disabilities and all proceeds will go toward providing those programs. Vehicles will go through the automatic car wash and SRACLC staff and volunteers will dry them. SRACLC is a cooperative effort of local municipalities and park districts. Its member agencies are: the villages of Hawthorn Woods, Lake Zurich, Libertyville, Lincolnshire, Grayslake and Vernon Hills park districts and Mundelein Park and Recreation District.
