• A resident of the 4N800 block of Grandma's Lane near St. Charles reported on Friday that someone opened an account in his name without his knowledge in January and charged $1,716.99 on Ebay, according to a sheriff report.

• A resident of the 40W500 block of Old Mill Court near Elgin told authorities that $17,000 was stolen from a small lockbox in the basement of the residence between July 6 and July 22. according to a sheriff report.

• Marci A. Steele, 50, of the 1700 block of West Illinois Avenue, Aurora, was arrested and charged with unlawful use of a weapon and driving while license suspended after a traffic stop at 6:32 p.m. July 21 at Randall Road and Oak Street near St. Charles, according to a sheriff report. Authorities said Steele was wanted in DuPage County for retail theft and found a set of brass knuckes in her purse.

• A mailbox on the 39W100 block of Arbor Creek Road near St. Charles was destroyed between 6:30 p.m. July 20 an 4:30 a.m. July 21, for an estimated loss of $140, according to a sheriff report.

• A leather wallet was stolen between 11 p.m. July 22 and 6 a.m. Thursday from a car parked on the 1100 block of Rathbone Avenue near Aurora, according to a sheriff report.

• A Tom Tom GPS and a wallet containing $15 were stolen from two separate vehicles parked on the 500 block of Calumet Avenue near Aurora between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday, according to a sheriff report.
