COD music groups hold August aduitions

College of DuPage

College of DuPage offers a variety of music courses and performance opportunities for students and community members for the fall 2015 semester.

Daytime ensembles include Concert Choir, Small Group Jazz, Chambers Singers, Percussion Ensemble and Guitar Ensemble. Evening ensembles include Chamber Orchestra, DuPage Chorale, DuPage Community Concert Band and DuPage Community Jazz Ensemble.

Individuals interested in participating are invited to audition at their first rehearsals. The schedule is as follows:

• Concert Choir, 11 to 11:50 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24;

• Small Group Jazz, noon to 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25;

• Chamber Singers, 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25;

• Percussion Ensemble, 2 to 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25;

• Guitar Ensemble, 2:30 to 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25;

• Chamber Orchestra, 7 to 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25;

• DuPage Chorale, 7 to 9:50 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24;

• DuPage Community Concert Band, 7 to 9:50 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24; and

• DuPage Community Jazz Ensemble, 7 to 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26.

Groups perform concerts each year at the McAninch Arts Center on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd., under the direction of the college's faculty.
