Music, food fundraiser for District 211 mentors
A day of music and food will be held Saturday, July 25, in Woodstock to raise money for Excel Beyond 211 Dollars for Scholars, Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211's mentoring program for first-generation college students from low-income families.
Soul Jam 2015 will run rain or shine from 1 to 8 p.m. that day at Soulful Prairies, 4706 Alden Road in Woodstock. The cost is $75 for people 18 years old and older and $50 for those 17 and younger.
In an addition to a beautiful setting, the event will feature food by Zia's Chef Joe Calabrese and music by several bands.
