New location suits Mundelein Farmers Market

The Mundelein Farmers Market was in full swing Friday, as about 25 vendors filled the north half of the Santa Maria del Popolo Church parking lot.

Farmers Market Manager Gary Gunther said he's thrilled with their new location along Route 45.

"With Highway 45 here, you can't get a better location traffic-wise. The vendors love it and the customers love it," Gunther said.

Vendors sold everything from vegetables and fruits to cheese, olive oil and knife sharpening.

The market runs every Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. through Oct. 9.
