Police: 2 charged after threatening woman in Naperville

Naperville police arrested two men Tuesday after reports one of them pointed a handgun at another person, authorities said.

Around 2 a.m., Naperville police were called to a home on the 900 block of Sheridan Circle, according to a news release.

Reece A. Swedowski, 18, of Naperville got into an argument with a woman at the home and is accused of pointing a handgun at her head, the release said.

Zachary Q. Kolar, 19 of Burr Ridge threatened to pull out another gun and point it at her, police said.

Both men left the home before police arrived, police said, but were found at Swedowski's apartment on the 2100 block of Allegre Circle. Both men refused to come to the door or out of the apartment when police arrived, the release said.

The Naperville Police Special Response Team and negotiators worked at the scene for several hours until the two men surrendered and were arrested around 8 a.m., according to the release.

A BB replica handgun was the only weapon recovered from the apartment, and police said it was used during the earlier threats.

Swedowski was charged with one count of misdemeanor aggravated assault. Kolar was charged with one count of disorderly conduct. Both have been released on bond.
