A feast for the eyes at Naperville art fair today

For art lovers on a quest for the perfect painting. For weekend wanderers who found a festival and wondered what was inside. For photographers, collectors and philanthropists alike, the 56th annual Naperville Woman's Club Art Fair is a feast for the eyes.

More than 100 local and national artists set up booths Saturday on the Naper Settlement grounds in downtown Naperville to sell their creations, give painting demonstrations and answer questions about art.

Visitors enjoyed free admission, a silent auction, a charity sale for the Empty Bowls project that benefits food pantries, and serenading songs by the guitar duo Patchouli.

The long-running event raises money for the woman's club, which focuses on art, education and community service as well as maintaining and renting out the Old Stone Church building on Washington Street.

The art fair continues from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the settlement, 523 S. Webster St.
