Prospect grad recognized for tech innovation
Recent Prospect High School graduate Keaton Keller - who's also CEO of his own company, TechSmartt - was recognized by the Arlington Heights village board this week for winning a prestigious award from the University of Illinois.
Keller was one of 20 high school students around the state to receive the Celebrating High School Innovators Award, said Village President Tom Hayes.
"You are an inspiration to your community and your school," Hayes said.
TechSmartt's YouTube channel, which makes videos explaining how to use different technology, has more than 400,000 subscribers, and Keller's videos have received more than 85 million views.
The village presented Keller with a street sign recognizing his accomplishments. It likely will be hung somewhere in the village or near Prospect High School soon.
