Two injured in jet ski collision on Petite Lake

Two people escaped serious injuries when their Jet Skis collided on Petite Lake Saturday afternoon, Antioch fire officials said.

The fire department was called about 4:43 p.m. for the collision, Antioch Deputy Fire Chief Chris Lienhardt said. From their own rescue boat, paramedics spotted the two jet ski drivers, a man in his 40s and a woman in her 20s, in the water.

They brought them ashore to waiting ambulances that took them to the hospital. The man and the woman suffered minor injuries, Lienhardt said. It was unclear what caused the collision on Petite, part of the Chain O' Lakes.

Crews from Fox Lake and Round Lake fire departments assisted.
