William Shatner to stop in Aurora Tuesday

"Star Trek" captain William Shatner will make a pit stop Tuesday morning in Aurora to show off his one-of-a-kind motorcycle, meet fans and raise a little money.

Shatner is on a cross-country charity road trip on his specially designed Rivet motorcycle, which he created with American Wrench.

"I am taking another step into the unknown!" Shatner said in a news release. "A phenomenal bike made by American Wrench and a 2,400-mile journey, where the road holds the big mystery."

Shatner will make an appearance at 9 a.m. Tuesday at American Wrench, 700 Enterprise St. in Aurora.

Shatner, who will ride with members of The American Legion Riders, is making the trip as an homage to the eight-day journey he took at 19 to get to Hollywood. The charity road trip will benefit The American Legion Legacy Scholarship and the legion's programs.
