Grayslake police enforcement

The Grayslake Police Department announced it will participate in the national campaign, "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket," that will run June 22 through July 5. To prevent intoxicated motorists from driving, Grayslake police also will conduct a roadside safety check Friday, June 3, in the area of Route 120 and Hainesville Road in Hainesville. The national campaign will focus on impaired drivers and seat belt use. Police recommend drivers avoid crashes and potential drunken driving arrests by designating a sober driver and not letting friends drive drunk. The law enforcement crackdown is funded by federal traffic safety funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation's Division of Traffic Safety.
