Chicago White Sox snap 8-game losing streak

After wasting a stellar start from Chris Sale Friday night and losing 2-1 to the Rangers at U.S. Cellular Field, the Chicago White Sox were pretty much at rock bottom.

"The tough part of the game is you have to put it behind you as fast as you can and prepare and get yourself geared up for this one," manager Robin Ventura said. "As tough as those losses are, you get ready for today. And it doesn't stop, the game doesn't stop for anybody. So you pick yourself up and get after it."

The Sox didn't play a great game Saturday, but they were able to edge Texas 3-2 and snap an eight-game losing streak.

Rookie Carlos Rodon (3-1) got the win after pitching 6 innings and allowing 2 runs on 4 hits.

The White Sox scored 3 runs in the third inning against Rangers starter Nick Martinez. Adam LaRoche opened the scoring with a sacrifice fly and shortstop Elvis Andrus' error allowed 2 unearned runs to score.
